The Great Depression:
•Females comprised almost ¼ of the workforce
•Women that were married and worked were faced with public discrimination and resentment
-Society thought women were taking jobs away from the men
•Couples married much less frequently due to the expense
•Husbands abandoned their wives and children to get a job and provide for their family
The New Deal
•Franklin D. Roosevelt
•Bunch of programs made to help reform economy and people
•Many organizations formed
